What the app stores, and where

gym buk keeps what you type into it: your programs, training days, exercises, and the weight, sets and reps you log, along with a handful of preferences such as the appearance setting and the carry-over toggle.

All of it is stored in two places, both of them yours:

• On your device. The app's database lives inside the app's own storage on your iPhone.
• In your private iCloud database, if you are signed in to iCloud. This is Apple's CloudKit private database, which sits under your own Apple Account. It is what carries your notebook to a new phone. The developer of an app cannot read, browse or export the contents of a user's private database — Apple's platform does not provide that access, by design.

You can turn the iCloud copy off at any time in iOS Settings, under your name › iCloud. The app keeps working; it simply stops syncing.

What we collect

Nothing. To be specific, gym buk does not collect, transmit, sell, or share:

• your name, email address, or any contact details — the app never asks for them;
• your training data, body measurements, or health information;
• your location;
• device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics;
• crash logs sent to us directly.

The app contains no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics or marketing SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not build a profile of you. The app's privacy manifest, which ships inside the app and which Apple checks, declares exactly this.

Apple's role

Two things happen through Apple rather than through us, and you control both:

• iCloud sync. If you are signed in to iCloud, Apple stores and transfers your private database on your behalf. That is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not by this one.
• App Store diagnostics. If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may make crash reports and aggregate, anonymised statistics available to us through App Store Connect. This is Apple's mechanism, it is off unless you choose it, it contains no training data, and it identifies no one. You can turn it off in the same place.

Health data

gym buk does not connect to Apple Health. It does not read from or write to HealthKit, and it requests no health permissions. The training numbers you type stay inside the app.

Children

gym buk is a notebook. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, which includes children under 13.

Deleting your data

You are the only one who can, because you are the only one who has it.

• On the phone: delete the app.
• In iCloud: deleting the app does not delete the iCloud copy — that is deliberate, so your notebook survives a new phone. To remove it, go to iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, find gym buk, and delete its data.

Once deleted, it cannot be recovered by us. We never held it.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK give you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to hand over or delete on your behalf — your data is already in your own hands, on your own device and in your own Apple Account. If you would like this confirmed in writing for your records, write to contact@eriscolabs.com and you will get a reply.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of gym buk ever does something new with data — for example if a paid feature required a purchase to be verified — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. Material changes will also be described in the App Store release notes.
